Speedial

Terms of Service

Version 2026-10-21d

1. Speedial is not an emergency service

Speedial helps you through unexpected problems, but it does not replace 911, police, fire, medical, or other emergency services. If anyone's life, health, or safety is in danger, call 911 first. Speedial never dispatches help for you, and nothing in the app guarantees that anyone will respond.

2. Information, not professional advice

Speedial AI is powered by Claude, made by Anthropic, and is only used after you allow it. Steps, answers from Speedial AI, and other guidance in the app are general information. They are not medical, legal, mechanical, financial, or other professional advice. AI answers can be wrong or incomplete. Use your own judgment, and contact a qualified professional when it matters.

3. Alerts and places come from others

Danger alerts come from public sources such as the National Weather Service and the US Geological Survey. Nearby places and maps come from Google. These can be late, incomplete, or wrong, and not every danger is reported. Never rely on Speedial as your only source of warnings.

4. Your circle and panic alerts

Panic alerts are sent as text messages from your own phone, so they depend on your phone, your carrier, and your signal, and normal messaging rates may apply. Only add people who agreed to get your alerts. Speedial can't promise that a text is delivered, read, or acted on.

5. Circle chat and your behavior

You're responsible for what you send. Don't use Speedial to harass, threaten, or harm anyone, to share illegal content, to send false alerts, or to track someone without their permission. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

6. Your location and data

Our Privacy Policy explains what Speedial collects and shares, and is part of these terms. In short: Speedial uses your location to find help and alerts near you and, when you choose, to include in your panic alerts. During a panic alert, the people in your named circle can follow your live location in the app until you're safe or someone in your circle marks you safe; then sharing stops and your location is erased. Only your latest position is kept, never a history of where you've been. Your circle, chat messages, and account are stored on Speedial's servers; your contacts and settings stay on your phone. We don't sell your personal information. You can delete your account and its data at any time in Settings.

7. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to have a Speedial account. A parent or guardian can set up Kid Mode on their own account for a child under 13. The child makes no account and starts with only 911, the panic button, and calls to family. If the child holds the panic button, their live location is shared with the parent's circle until they're safe, then erased. Other features, like Family chat and Ask AI, stay locked until the parent unlocks them, and what the child sends in them is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. The parent agrees to this for their child and is responsible for Kid Mode and the phone it runs on. Keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for activity on your account.

8. Purchases

Paid features, like the full circle, are bought through the App Store or Google Play, under their payment and refund rules. Prices are shown before you buy. A one-time purchase stays yours for as long as the feature is offered.

9. No guarantees

Speedial is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or right for every situation. As far as the law allows, Speedial and its makers are not liable for losses or harm that come from using, or being unable to use, the app.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, Speedial will show you the new version and ask you to agree before you keep using the app. If you don't agree, you can stop using Speedial and delete your account.
